Shannon is a mother of 3 district students (grades 6, 4, and Kindergarten), a P.T.A. officer, and an involved member of the community. As the first woman in her family to graduate college, she has an immense appreciation for quality education. Her candidacy is for the standard 4-year term. To focus on the best interests of the 27,000+ district students, her board position will:
Work respectfully alongside the school board and district representatives to improve district funding, evaluate contracts, and support community initiatives.
Support district-wide
art programming
and enrichment.
Seek creative solutions as teaching, assessments,
and learning evolve in a post-pandemic world.
Respond to community input and encourage collaboration while providing a bridge between district parents, students, and school board.
Shannon believes that with transparency and consistent communication,
our district can move forward from the 2020 pandemic
and emerge even stronger.
